Still backs Drury to come good

The midfielder is yet to really show his true colours after a hotly anticipated return to Kenilworth Road from Crawley Town.

But Still isn’t overly worried by a slow start, pointing to the fact the season was very much in its infancy.

He said: “He’s a very good player, he trains well and everything he does in training is first class.

“Some people start the season slow, look at last season, Andre (Gray), who was leading scorer, started slow.

“It takes people time to get into their stride and get into the type of form they have.

“I don’t think Andy has been great, but thought he had a little spell Saturday when he was passing and moving.

“Perhaps he dropped off of that a little bit, but there’s more to come.”

A changing in training methods might be one of the reasons it’s taking time for Drury, who has been employed as a deep-lying midfielder in his first three games, a different position to his last stint at Kenilworth Road.
