Luton Town boss John Still has expressed his sympathy for U18s defender Luke Trotman who suffered a horrific double leg break at the weekend.
The full back was playing in the Youth Alliance clash at Peterborough, but with his side winning 2-1, the game was stopped.
Still, who has first hand experience of such an injury, said: “Devastated, all of us here are absolutely devastated for him.
“You can’t even give words of comfort as it’s a terrible, terrible thing to happen, when you get a serious injury.
“My own career certainly fell foul of a bad injury, so I know what it can do.
“He’s a strong young man, will be well supported here, well looked after here.
“Although it’s a blow, he may actually come out of this a stronger person but he needs everyone’s support and he’ll certainly get it.”
There have been plenty of messages on Twitter for Trotman from his fellow U18 playesr and also the first team too as Still admitted he was a popular member of the club.
