Still ‘devastated’ to learn of Trotman’s injury

Luton Town boss John Still has expressed his sympathy for U18s defender Luke Trotman who suffered a horrific double leg break at the weekend.

The full back was playing in the Youth Alliance clash at Peterborough, but with his side winning 2-1, the game was stopped.

Still, who has first hand experience of such an injury, said: “Devastated, all of us here are absolutely devastated for him.

“You can’t even give words of comfort as it’s a terrible, terrible thing to happen, when you get a serious injury.

“My own career certainly fell foul of a bad injury, so I know what it can do.

“He’s a strong young man, will be well supported here, well looked after here.

“Although it’s a blow, he may actually come out of this a stronger person but he needs everyone’s support and he’ll certainly get it.”
