Still hails an ‘unbelievable’ two years in charge of Luton

The 64-year-old was appointed on February 26, 2013 after Paul Buckle left the club, with Town way short of the play-offs and destined for another season in the Conference.

Still then led Town to the title in his first full season and has masterminded Luton to fourth in League Two, with a real chance of a second successive promotion.

The boss said: “I’ve had loads of messages and it’s unbelievable how things have gone.

“It’s fantastic testament to everybody involved that we’ve gone from the game at Braintree away, the first one that I saw, to being fourth in Division Two.

“I think it’s absolutely remarkable, I really do. Congratulations to lots and lots of people for their efforts, that’s past players as well, players thare are here, directors that have supported us, supporters for their unbelievable support, and even media that’s been around us.

“It’s fantastic progress in the two years and lets have a look at what the next two years brings.”

Still also went to pick out some his favourite games from his 24 months in charge, highlighting the 5-0 win at Alfreton, last-minute draw with Cambridge, 2-1 victory at Macclesfield, plus surprisingly, defeats to Plymouth and AFC Wimbledon this season.
