The summer signing from Southport has failed to ignite at Kenilworth Road so far, despite promising greatly in pre-season.

Still said: “In some games he’s looked really exciting but his final ball has not been quite right.

“We see it in training, he’s got so much skill, but he can’t put it together in the games at the moment.

“We’re hoping if we can get him out for a loan spell for a month, we might get him firing on all cylinders and that would be a plus for us.”

After Lincoln failed in bid for the winger, it was thought he would be joining AFC Telford as boss Liam Watson told the Shropshire Star: “For me, he was the best player in all of the Conference last season, that’s why Luton paid a fee for him.

“He’s someone who has done great for me over the years, so I am pleased to have him here.

“It’s a great coup for us, we need to get him in the team and get him firing.”

But Still said that the deal had not been finalised when the News/Gazette went to press.
