The Town chief led his side to five wins out of their six matches during September, with four victories in the league, while also knocking Leyton Orient out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy too.

Still is up against John Coleman (Accrington Stanley), Keith Curle (Carlisle United) and Ricardo Moniz (Notts County) as a statement on the Football League website detailing Still’s successful month, said: “He has showed his experience by keeping calm after his side collected just two points in August.

“His belief in his players didn’t waver as he guided them to four wins in five games, ending the month by beating Mansfield Town, AFC Wimbledon and Morecambe.”

The winners will be announced on Friday.
