Still might look to dip into transfer market

Hatters boss John Still has hinted he might sign an experienced attacking player before the transfer window closes.

After losing Andre Gray to Brentford during the summer, Still brought forwards Ross Lafayette, Ricky Miller and Charlie Walker into the club.

But he is considering making another move before the deadline ends on Monday, September 1.

Still said: “Would I have brought one more attacking player in, that little bit more experienced?

“Maybe, but he wasn’t there and I’m never going to go out and sign a player, just to fill a place because someone’s not there.

“If and when that player was to become available, then we might do that, but he’s not.

“We have ideas of what we want, but if they’re not available or we can’t get them for whatever reason, then I’m not going to jump into it and get the wrong one.

“We’ll wait until we get the right one.”

Still wasn’t particularly looking to utilise the loan market though like last season if he can help it.
