Still might look to extend Harriman’s loan

The 21-year-old moved to Kenilworth Road on October 9 for an emergency 28-day loan after Town had injuries to both Paul Connolly and Curtley Williams.

Harriman has impressed greatly in his short stay so far though as Still said: “By the time the loan is up, they should both be available for selection, if we don’t extend the loan.

“That’s not to say we will or we won’t, I will have a look at both of those and see if their recovery is up to the standard I want to be able to play in the first team.

“He (Connolly) played here on Wednesday (against Hemel Hempstead) so he’s coming on, Curt played Wednesday, got a little knock today but nothing drastic.”

On Harriman, who spent last term on loan at League One Gillingham, Still added: “Sometimes people like supporters were saying we needed a right back because (Alex) Lacey was playing there.

“Yes we needed a right back, but not any right back, it’s got to be the right right back, so I waited for the right right back.

“Fortunately during that time we were okay, I knew if I waited I would have got Michael and that’s what I wanted to do.”
