“We found that last year and I’ve found it most years to be honest.”

Despite Town’s lack of goals so far this campaign, Still wasn’t disappointed with the start they had made to life in League Two.

He added: “They weren’t in the high numbers at this stage last season and what life has told me and football’s taught me, in a marathon, the person up the front doesn’t usually win a marathon, and they come from behind.

“Have we started as well as we’d have liked? Yes, I think we’ve started okay. Could we have started better? Definitely we could have.

“We’ve lost one league game, we’ve played away to Carlisle, played Bury who are strong and going to be up there, played Wimbledon who were unbeaten, and we’ve played Accrington, which we are disappointed with the performance, other than that I’m quite pleased.”
