In what was ultimately a dour affair with few chances, Town kept their eighth clean sheet in 12 games, to earn a point at a ground they lost on last season.

Still said: “I was really pleased as someone mentioned on the Woking game (4-0 win) that maybe last year Woking was a game we’d lose, and this might have been a game we’d lost.

“But we’ve got that mental toughness in us now, everyone doing their bit. We need to get better, but everyone needs to get better, all the teams in the league need to get better.

“But we’re just clawing away and I’m pleased with where we are what we’re doing.

“We just need to start improving in a couple of areas, but the foundation now is solid and now it’s soild, I think we can start adding one or two other things to our game.”

After conceding twice against Lincoln from throws, Hatters came under threat at times from a similar tactic from the Bulls at times.

The hosts almosts won it late on too from such a set-piece, but striker Andre Gray cleared off the line twice.

Still continued: “I think their biggest threat was long throws, corners into the box but we had everyone in their area, particlarly Andre on the back post as he stopped one, maybe even two.

“Those little things are important. Long throws almost undid us against Lincoln, but they didn’t today, that’s progress.”

With 12 games gone, Town are sitting sixth in the Skrill Premier on 20 points, but eight points adrift of leaders Cambridge.

Still added: “I thought we’d be around it, in my own calculations, I do it in eights.

“We were a touch behind on eight, a touch behind now, but when I say a touch, I mean a touch.

“We’ve caught up and are near enough where I thought we might be points wise, but I think we’re in a position now where I really feel we can push now.”
