Still pleased with Ireland scouting trip

Town boss John Still felt it was a worthwhile trip to Ireland at the weekend to watch the FAI Cup final.

Still was an interested onlooker as St Patrick’s triumphed 2-0 over Derry City, with the LUton chief saying: “It was a scouting trip and we looked at three players.

“One of the players did okay, although it wasn’t a good game, but that’s one of those things that can happen a lot in cup finals; they don’t live up to expectations.

“If you don’t look you don’t find though. I had a look, whether we take that on, we’ll wait and see.”

Still’s indepth scouting network is notorious at turning up players and he admitted he will continue searching high and wide for new talent.
