The Town chief has already stated he is looking to add to his squad during January and after today’s 1-1 draw with Cheltenham, said: “We’ve made enquiries in a few areas, they’re ongoing and have got to be the right ones, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

“We’re hoping the next day or two we might find a way forward with one if not both.

“I’m always optimistic, but football being football, lets wait and see what happens.”

Still’s options were boosted at the Robins this afternoon, with Alex Lawless coming on a second half substitute, while Luke Guttridge travelled and was put through his paces before the match.

The boss added: “We’re pleased to have Lawless back, so that’s a little plus in terms of creativity.

“Gutts has travelled today and if the reserve team game had taken place midweek, he’d have been on the bench again as well, so there’s a little plus.

“Pelly Ruddock will train Monday so they’re all little pluses that will help us.”
