With six games left, Still, who is also trying to get his main players fit for a potential play-off battle, said: “Even as we speak, we need to try and win four games.

“The only way that some of these are going to play in all the games is to get their fitness levels up, so that’s the chance that you take.

“Last year we had games we came out and won. We want to win, and it’s important we try and win. The key is to try and win four games.”

Still thought his side’s desire to triumph against Exeter on Good Friday eventually proved part of their downfall as they fell to a last-gasp 3-2 reverse.

He added: “At 2-2, we were still trying to get people forward, in and around the box, instead of saying lets get everyone back, everyone defending and saying try to break us down.

“I’d sooner lose trying to win as we need to win four games, we don’t need to draw.

“It’s important that we not keep everyone behind the ball and eke out a point. We needed to win, and in trying to do that we probably left a couple of gaps.”
