The 25-year-old, who is the U’s leading scorer with 13 goals this season, had been rumoured to be interesting the Hatters manager.

But when asked by the News/Gazette, Still said: “No, Freddie is well out of our range, well out of it.”

Barnet attacker Keanu Marsh-Brown, who Luton made an offer for during the last window, is now off the list, while Still played down, but didn’t completely rule out a move for Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs, who has been recalled from AFC Wimbledon.

Still also confirmed that there could well be some movement out from his squad during the next month too, once the various ailments suffered have been overcome.
