Still will make a late decision on Cuthbert and Doyle

Hatters will leave it late before deciding if both Scott Cuthbert and Nathan Doyle are fit enough to be included for tomorrow’s trip to Morecambe.

Cuthbert missed Saturday’s 2-0 win over AFC Wimbledon with an ankle injury, while Doyle hasn’t featured for the first team since the 1-0 defeat to Bristol Rovers on August 18.

Striker Paul Benson won’t be considered once more though as speaking to the press this afternoon, Town boss John Still said: “He’s (Cuthbert) trained today. Whether or not he’s ready to play, I’m not sure, but I’ll give it some thought.

“Benson, no, but Doyle will travel. Whether or not I’ll use him, he’s only had one 60 minutes in a development game, but he’s trained hard, so I’m not 100 per cent sure about that.

“Those are things I’ll have a chat with the medical staff about and see where we are.”

Still may also proceed with caution when it comes to the eye-catching Paddy McCourt too after he had 90 minutes against the Dons at the weekend.

Still continued: “He’s getting fitter, but the international break didn’t help Paddy one bit, as he didn’t play and they don’t train, train.

“So he’s away for a week and he’s missing something when he was a touch behind anyway.

“We’ve worked as much as we can with him to get him a little bit fitter, he played Saturday, he’s another one. Two games? I’m not sure. But we’ll all have a talk this afternoon.

“When we get him up and at it, playing regularly and giving him that freedom, that’s half the key, the freedom to go and play, he can make things happen.”
