Swindon eye ex-Luton Town loan man Yaser Kasim

He played an hour as the Robins lost 3-0 to Birmingham City on Wednesday night.

Kasim played 11 times for Luton and scored once.

Caretaker manager Mark Cooper said: “He looked alright on the ball, he looked very comfortable. He’s started at Tottenham and he was at Brighton. He’s a good footballer and worth another look.

“He knits things together. He gets the ball off the back four and knits it together. He’s come and not trained for a while, he’s not played and he’s come in and done well tonight. You can see that he’s got ability.

“My only worry is in midfield size-wise that we’re not the biggest and I think we might need to look at that a little bit. If you look at our team at the minute we’re quite small and I think we need to get one or two in that can help us, especially in the league we’re in with set pieces and things like that.

“He’s definitely worth another look.”
