The boss signed Scott while at Dagenham & Redbridge from Hayes & Yeading where he went on to score 16 goals as Daggers won promotion to League One in the 2009-10 season.

He was released by the club earlier this campaign though, joining the Shots, where he has netted three goals in 14 league appearances so far.

When asked about his former charge, Still said: “He did really well for us, he did great in our promotion year, scored four goals in the semi-finals of the play-offs against Morecambe.

“He suffered little bit of injury at Dagenham unfortunately and now he’s gone there.

“But he’s a dangerous player Josh, in my time at Dagenham he did fantastic.

“He was a tremendous acquisition for us when I was there, so I know that Josh will want to pay me back in the best way possible by having a quiet afternoon. I hope.”

The Shots have battled relegation all season after having 10 points deducted and are still in the bottom four, just one point behind Hereford United.

Still knows how difficult a proposition Andy SCott’s side will be, but his confident his team can cope as he added: “People look at the league and see where they are, but they’re 1-0 points better off than that aren’t they?

“They’re fighting for their lives, same as Dartford, same as Chester, same as Grimsby, same as Halifax.

“I could name 16 fighting for their lives, that’s what makes it tough.

“The games we’re playing at the moment are against teams that can get in the play-offs and can get relegated and they’re the toughest oppositions that are going.

“What I know is when the games are tough, we’re tough enough to deal with it and I think it’s fighting football I really do.

“We’ve shown we can play and be expansive and that we can be tight and not give away anything.

“We’ve now shown another side of our game where we’re just battling our socks off to get as many points as you can, it’s an ingredient you need and it’s an ingredient we’re showing.”
