Town close in on new keeping coach as Tyler takes on lead role

Speaking at this week’s kit unveil, he said: “There will be a new goalkeeper coach this week.”

He will replace the long-serving Dmitri Kharine who number one Mark Tyler had enjoyed working with.

It’s been a summer of change for the 36-year-old stopper, who has also seen fellow stopper Dean Brill head to Scottish Premier League side Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan and new young stopper Elliot Justham come in from East Thurrock United.

The experienced keeper is taking a lead role in training in the interim, and he admitted going into coaching is a route he’s looking to get into.
