Town facing decision time over Crawford’s future

HATTERS assistant manager Alan Neilson confirmed that decisions will be made on a number of the squad’s futures in the next few days, writes Mike Simmonds.

Former Southend trialist Harry Crawford got his second 45 minutes in a Town shirt during Saturday’s 7-1 demolition of AFC Dunstable, while ex-Luton keeper Dean Brill was an unused substitute.

Neilson said: “Harry, we’ve got to decide on very quickly. He’s another striker that we’ve looked at so decisions will be made fairly soon. Dean Brill too, but that’s also in the hands of the powers to be.”

Meanwhile, striker Aaron O’Connor missed out completely, along with midfielder Andre Boucard, who didn’t feature against Hitchin Town either, sparking rumours about there whereabouts.

Neilson continued: “Their futures will be sorted out fairly soon.

“You’ll have to ask other people about that one though I’m afraid. We’re still looking to improve the squad, so there could be players in and there could be players out.”
