The 22-year-old enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Kenilworth Road last season, playing 39 times and scoring twice for the Hatters.

He has been offered a new deal by the R’s, who were relegated back to the Championship, but Luton are keen to acquire him on a permanent basis, with the youngster also wanting to return.

Discussions remain ongoing, but Harriman remains at Loftus Road as Town boss John Still said: “The clubs are talking, that’s as far as I can say, but we seem to have been talking for ages.”
