Decison to be made on the South America soon

LUTON Town will take a further look Brazilian trialist Richardinho after he played in the reserves 4-0 defeat to Southend United on Tuesday, writes Mike Simmonds.

The South American was joined on trial by Brackley Town striker Jordan Ayris, and first team development manager Alan Neilson said: “He has been with us for 10 days now and acclimatised quite well.

“He’s a good touch player, but found it quite hard with the speed and physicality of the game on Tuesday, as I think most Brazilians would.

“We’ll have a look at him for the rest of the week though and make a decision then.”

It was a youthful Hatters second string who were well beaten in their totesport.com Combination East Division clash at Roots Hall as Shrimpers striker Kyle Asante scored a hat-trick and Harry Crawford also netted.

Hatters keeper Lewis Kidd was in fine form, while substitute Ryan Dasilva hit the post late on.

Youth team coach Jon De Souza said: “We had a young side out with the likes of Ash Deeney, while Jordan Patrick and Alasan Ann came on.

“Both myself and Alan Neilson were pleased with our performance at half time, but second half we were poor.

“We didn’t defend well from set-plays, but it was good for the youngster’s progression.”

Luton travel to Watford on Monday.
