Town ready for late transfer surge
VIGILANT Town are keeping their powder dry as they lay in wait to make a move in this summer’s transfer market.Hatters have snapped up Aaron O’Connor and Dean Beckwith so far, but managing director Gary Sweet believes quality players will become available later in the summer than they have in recent years, writes Mark Wood.
He said: “A number of Football League players haven’t released themselves from their contracts yet – not to say we are necessarily going after them. It has a knock-on effect.
“The shift in when player movements happen changes year on year and we believe there will be quite a big change in July and August.”
