Town starlet O’Donnell confesses he sought loan move

Frustrated Hatters winger JJ O’Donnell has confessed he asked to be sent out on loan earlier in the season, writes Mark Wood.

More recently he has come right back into manager John Still’s plans and he is adamant he wants to play his football at Kenilworth Road.

He said: “I want to play games of football so I did ask to go (on loan), maybe just for a month to go and play some games.

“It didn’t materialise earlier on in the few weeks gone by, but the gaffer’s put me in and I don’t think I’ve done myself any harm by the way I’ve performed when I’ve come on.

“I do want to play here, I don’t want to be going out on loan, I want to be playing my games of football at Luton Town and helping the lads and the team and supporters getting this club back to where it needs to be.”
