Town’s loan rangers say their farewells

Elliot Lee, Michael Harriman and Cameron McGeehan all played 90 minutes, while Lewis Kinsella came off the bench late on and Nathan Oduwa was an unused substitute.

Afterwards, Lee, who scored three goals in 11 games, tweeted: “Loved my time @LutonTown! Gutted we couldn’t get promotion but would like to say thanks to the manager, staff, players and fans for everything!

“Great bunch of lads and I wish everyone at the club all the very best in the future!”

Oduwa, who featured 11 times, mainly as a substitute, also took to social media to write: “Sadly didn’t make play offs but I want to thank all the fans and players at Luton Town for making me feel welcome.”

While Kinsella, who made three appearances, added: “Good to get a run out in the last game! Thanks to all the fans and players at Luton Town for making me feel welcome.

“Didn’t play as much as I wanted to but that’s football can’t wait to get back to Villa work hard and finish the season properly.”

On their efforts, boss John Still said: “I think Harry (Harriman) has done fantastic, Cam’s come in and done well, a bit slow to start, but scored three goals.

“I was really pleased with Elliot Lee and think a fit Elliot Lee, 21s don’t play enough games, a really fit Elliot Lee is a handful and he’s shown that.

“But they’ve all played their part. Some of the young ones, Lewis came in when we thought Scott (Griffiths) would have an operation, Nathan came in and he’s a young man.

“I think in the first game he looked like he had it, but he found the demands of it, from development football, difficult.

“But they’ve all played their part in helping us become the eighth best team, so really pleased with that.”

On the future of the likes of Harriman and McGeehan who Still has made known he hopes to keep at Kenilworth Road, the manager added: “Well, that’s something I can’t answer at the moment.

“What we’ll do, we’ll look at what we think we need, and if any of those fit what we need, like we did with Cam, like we did with Pelly (Ruddock Mpanzu), we’ll make enquiries, but it’s a bit too early to say yet.”
