Tyler not too downhearted by Burton defeat
The result was Luton’s first defeat in the league since September 6, as according to Tyler, they paid the price for a rare defensive blip.
He said: “We were never under any pressure as I thought we defended well and kept them at bay.

“It was poor on our part, we don’t concede many from corners, so we’ll have a look at that and rectify it for Saturday.
“Going forward, we just needed that little bit of luck at the other end, but ricochets just fell for the keeper and defenders.
“So yes we’re disappointed, but not downhearted, we’ll go again Saturday and get the three points.”

He continued: “It was a pleasure to watch some of the football we played.
“We were a bit slow first half, the gaffer told us to up the tempo in the second half and I thought we did that.”
Recalled winger Shaun Whalley also felt his side had dome more than enough to win the game, especially after snuffing out the hosts for long periods.

“It was disappointing to concede on a set-piece as we work a lot on that and don’t like to concede on restarts.
“There were a lot of ricochets in their box and just didn’t fall for us.
“On another day they fall for the strikers, they take their chances and we end up winning comfortable as I thought we were the better team all game.

Whalley also felt his side were denied a clear-cut spotkick in the first period, adding: “I thought the one in the first half was a blatant penalty.
“The ball’s come over, I just stood my ground, the lad’s come straight through the back of me.
“I don’t know when that isn’t a penalty but he just didn’t seem interested the referee.”
