Hatters striker Charlie Walker has joined Conference South promotion hopefuls Boreham Wood on loan until the end of the season.
The 24-year-old, who signed from Ryman League side Peacehaven in the summer, has made six appearances for Luton this season, but hasn’t featured since January 3.
He joins up with fellow Town loanee Lee Angol and goes straight into the squad for the trip to Weston-Super-Mare this afternooon.
Meanwhile, young midfielder Ian Rees has moved to Southern League Premier Division side Hitchin Town on a youth loan, with defender Brett Longden recalled from Arlesey Town and joining St Neots Town.
Walker’s temporary departure might not be the last either as speaking at his press conference on Thursday, boss John Still said: “I do want to loan some more people out, but we can’t until we get people back into the squad who are fit, so we’ve got to be careful who goes.”
