Watkins concentrating on the league after FA Cup exit
MISSING out on a big name tie in the third round of the FA Cup means the Hatters must focus fully on their hopes of gaining promotion out of the Blue Square Bet Premier this season, writes Mark Wood.
That is the hope of young midfielder Adam Watkins, pictured left, who was pleased but surprised to be included in Luton’s team for their 4-2 second round defeat to Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
He said: “It’s a privilege to play for the club, but I’ve got to be as ready as everyone else is.
“We’ve got a big squad here so everyone’s got to be ready to play. I’m delighted to play but very disappointed to lose.”
