The 26-year-old has endured a mixed campaign for Town after excelling in pre-season.

He recently moved to Skrill North side AFC Telford on loan and speaking to the Shropshire Star, Whalley said: “It hasn’t worked out yet for me at Luton but I am hopeful that it will, even though I like playing for Liam (Watson).

“I still have another year left on my contract at Luton so, if they go up, I will be in the Football League.

“I want to prove I am good enough to play for them.”
