The wideman earned a recall to the side for Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Burton Albion, giving a promising display to complete his first 90 minutes in over year.

Whalley freely admits he hasn’t shown anywhere near his full potential during his time at Luton and knows that needs to change, with his
contract up at the end of the season.

He said: “I began a lot of games at the start last year, but I just didn’t play well at all.

“I don’t know why or what the reasons were, but it just wouldn’t happen for me.

“I’ve never doubted my abililty though, I know I’ve got a lot of ability.

“I’m determined and I’m going to try my hardest for it to happen here. I want to do well for Luton, I don’t want to go anywhere else, I just want to do my best here.”
