Whalley makes a case for Hatters defence

Having a potential back four filled with Conference title winners can only be a positive thing according to Town’s summer signing Shaun Whalley, writes Mike Simmonds.

If picked, Ronnie Henry, Steve McNulty, Anthony Charles and Scott Griffiths have all been crowned champions during their career and Whalley said: “Y “You can’t really beat that experience, especially at the back.

“I don’t think I’ve played against Anthony Charles before, but I have against Ronnie Henry and Scott Griffiths.

“I know Steve McNulty a bit too as he’s from Liverpool as well.”
