9. MF: JJ O’Donnell
In from the start after his efforts at Norwich in the previous round, setting up the winner. Replaced midway through the second period, as he appeared in every game during the cup run. Left in July 2014 and is now playing for Blyth Spartans.
Hero of the previous round scoring the winner at Norwich. Top scorer in the competition for Town with four goals, but left the following season and has been with a host of non-league sides since, returning to Aldershot in January 2022.
Denied by a save from Forde when the scores were goalless as he couldn’t add to the two strikes he managed earlier in the competition, against Cambridge and Dorchester. Left in 2014 and is now on-loan at QPR from rivals Watford.
On for O’Donnell just after the hour mark, his fourth sub appearance in the competition and sixth in total. Departed at the end of the season, and went to a number of none-league clubs, now first team coach at Yate Town.
