The shut out took Luton’s tally to seven in their last eight matches at Kenilworth Road, which has seen Hatters claim a perfect 24 points from a possible 24.

Wilkinson said: “We work really hard in training on a back four, back three or whatever we’re going to play at the weekend.

“We’re keeping so many clean sheets, especially at home, we’ve made this place a fortress now.

“We look to win every game, but at home is where you pick up most of your points and should be winning.

“We’re happy with our home form and have got to work hard to keep that going, while try to pick up some points away from home too.”

Wilkinson resumed his partnership alongside skipper Steve McNulty on Saturday as Fraser Franks missed out despite impressing against Bury in midweek, while midfielder Andy Drury and first team coach Hakan Hayrettin weres quick to praise the efforts of Town’s back-line too.
