The two sides will meet at Kenilworth Road tonight, live on Sky Sports, with the match the first time Luton have hosted top flight opposition since Liverpool visited Kenilworth Road for an FA Cup third round tie in January 2008.

Mark Hughes’ Potters could include former Barcelona attacker Bojan Krkic as the pair look to up their match fitness, with Wilkinson saying: “I don’t think I’ll win many headers against Crouchy!

“They’ve got top quality players who play in the Premier League week in week out, so it’s going to be tough, but we’ll all be looking forward to it.

“They’ll be zipping the ball around on the floor, as they are top players. It’s another big night, hopefully we’ll get the stadium packed out with all the fans and give them something to cheer about.”

With the draw live on Sky Sports, it had looked like Hatters would be facing fierce rivals Watford with just two balls left, but it was the Potters who came out. Wilkinson continued: “It was very exciting watching the draw and it was Stoke and Watford left in.

“It’s going to be a good experience for all the lads to play against a top quality team and hopefully if we go and put a performance on like we did on Tuesday (against Bristol City) we’ve got a good chance of getting a result.”
