Wilson nets a double as Luton U18s defeat Cobblers
Luton Town U18s kicked off their Merit League 2 campaign with an exciting 3-2 win over Northampton Town Academy at the Brache on Saturday.
The Hatters took the lead on six minutes when Tyrelle Newton won the ball back 25 yards from goal and slipped in Ben Stevens who fired low past the keeper from the edge of the box.

Hide AdThe second arrived on 19 minutes when a superb defence-splitting pass from Ben Tompkins picked out the run of Coree Wilson, who went through to find the net with a cool finish.
Northampton pulled one back on the half hour, while they were then level in the early stages of the second half, Josh Tomlinson and Tom Scott the scorers.
However, Town hit back themselves, making it 3-2 just after the hour.
Moments after coming on, Ed McJannet picked up a second ball from keeper Jacob Cowler’s clearance and dinked a pass for Wilson who sprinted clear to net his second of the afternoon, ending the Cobblers' four game unbeaten run.
