Wilson on target again but Luton U21s are beaten by Shrimpers

The Shrimpers made a fast start, with Eren Kinali brought down in the area for a penalty that he easily converted.

Luton had penalty appeals of their own, but after the interval, they were back in the game when Coree Wilson was introduced on the hour mark and he quickly dispatched an unstoppable right-footed shot past keeper Collin Andeng Ndi.
Town thought they had levelled soon afterwards, only to see the ball hit the side-netting, while Andeng Ndi then made a superb save to deny Ed McJannett an equaliser.
Luton’s U18s were also beaten by their opponents from Roots Hall, losing 4-3 in their latest EFL Youth Alliance Merit League Two clash, Southend scoring the winner from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
