Winger McCourt becomes Hatters’ eighth signing


The 31-year-old has enjoyed a fine career to date following spells in England, Scotland, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, who he has been capped 14 times for and scored twice.
After starting life at Rochdale, McCourt moved to Shamrock Rovers in 2005, before a spell at Derry City where he was named the PFA of Ireland’s Young Player of the Year.

Hide AdHe went to Scottish Premier League side Celtic in 2008 and won the SPL twice, along with two Scottish Cup winners medals and then headed back to England, joining Barnsley.
Known for his mazy runs and wonderful solo goals, McCourt then moved to Championship side Brighton but was restricted to just 10 substitute appearances and finished the season on loan at Notts County where he netted once in 12 appearances.
