Cauley could become youngest ever Town player

PRODIGIOUS talent Cauley Woodrow will have to wait slightly longer if he is going to break the record to become the Hatters’ youngest-ever player, write Mike Simmonds and Mark Wood.

At just 15 years and 339 days, the attacker was an unused substitute for the FA Cup first round tie at Corby Town on Saturday.

Alongside him on the bench was current record holder Jordan Patrick, who was 16 years and seven days when he made his debut in the 2-2 draw at Grimsby Town on October 21, 2008, replacing Asa Hall.

Woodrow now has 29 days in which to become the Hatters’ youngest first team player, but manager Richard Money felt the Rockingham Triangle wasn’t the right place to introduce him.
