The tie was only one of three games to be played in the SML due to the adverse weather conditions.

Kent started the game brightly and were in control when the visitors took the lead against the run of play on 22 minutes through Jamie Risebrow.

And they doubled their lead after half an hour through Alex Bennett’s own goal.

Kent continued to press and levelled five minutes before the break through Jack Magill’s 20-yard strike.

And it was all-square at the interval when Pat Daly equalised on the stroke of half time.

The hosts should have won it in the second half when Daly was brought down in the penalty area by Wolverton’s keeper, who was lucky to receive just a yellow card, only to save the resulting penalty kick.

With the game heading towards extra-time Daly missed a glorious chance to win the game, but the hosts did finally win it in the 110th-minutes when the keeper fluffed his lines as he allowed Jason Penman’s effort from inside the penalty area to find the corner as Kent claimed a deserved victory.

AFC Dunstable Res scored a 2-1 victory over Holmer Green in Reserve Division One.

However, the rain again wrecked proceedings for almost all of out sides.

The Premier Division clash between Stotfold and AFC Dunstable, Totternhoe’s trip to Brimsdown in Division Two, Crawley Green v Biggleswade United and Totternhoe against Buckingham Athletic in Reserve Division Two and the Bedfordshire Senior Trophy semi-finals between The 61 FC (Luton) and Bedford and Wootton Blue Cross v Crawley Green were all postponed.
