Molten Spartan SML round-up: Kent Athletic thrash Tring Corinthians

Kent Athletic continued their good start to the season as they romped to a 5-1 win Tring Corinthians in Molten Spartan SML Division Two on Saturday.

Adam Mace made his first appearance of the season and Kent led 2-0 at the break thanks to goals from Alex Bennett and Simon Richards.

Kent continued to press in the second half as Pat Daly netted twice and Bradley Currington scored on his debut to keep Kent top of the table on goal difference.

Totternhoe went down to a 3-0 defeat at Wolverton Town. Pete Geyton put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes, Jamie Risebrow got their second eight minutes later and Michael Rundniak added the third.

Reserve Division One saw AFC Dunstable thrash The 61 FC (Luton) 7-0, while in Reserve Division Two Crawley Green triumphed 2-1 at Langford with goals from Anthony Wright and Charlie Betts to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season and Totternhoe beat Stony Stratford Town 1-0.

Kent Athletic Res claimed a 3-1 victory over Leighton Town Res in the first round of the Bedfordshire Intermediate Cup thanks to goals from James Ingram, Daniel Wemyess and Junior George.

Totternhoe Res head to Winslow United Res in Reserve Division Two on Tuesday night.

This Saturday The 61 FC (Luton) head to Southall in round one of the Challenge Trophy, in Reserve Division One AFC Dunstable Res host Risborough Rangers Res, Kent Athletic Res go to Baldock Town Res and The 61 FC (Luton) Res entertain Kings Langley Res, while in Reserve Division Two Crawley Green Res are home to Wolverton Town Res.
