Molten Spartan SML round-up: Kent slaughter Saints to stay top

Top-of-the-table Kent Athletic hammered New Bradwell St Peter 5-1 on Saturday to stay clear in Molten Spartan SML Division Two.

Goals from J McGill (13), S Richards (30) and C Mapp (48) put Kent in charge and, although D Tipton pulled a goal back 10 minutes into the second half, Kent sealed victory thanks to P Daly’s brace (67 and 70).

A hat-trick from C Golding (10, 17 and 71) plus a Lee Loasby (16) strike saw Totternhoe triumph 4-0 over Mursley United.

In Reserve Division One AFC Dunstable Res lost 5-2 at Baldock Town Res, while in Reserve Division Two Totternhoe Res lost 2-1 to Mursley United Res.

Crawley Green Res were comfortable 4-1 winners against Farley Boys in the semi-finals of the Bedfordshire Intermediate Cup.

A hat-trick from Anthony Wright and a Charlie Betts strike secured them a cup final place against Elstow Abbey.
