Dunstable applied early pressure and Stotfold defender Paul Donnelly almost presented them with a lead with an own goal.

The visitors were keen to atone for their hesitant start and Reece Williams brought a fine save from Gary Duncan.

Comfortable on the ball and creative in midfield, Dunstable took the lead in the 23rd-minute when Nathan Miller finished a smart move from midfield.

The Blues continued to press as Dean Hitchcock and Reece Williams had decent shots well saved by Anthony Ender.

After the interval a resurgent Stotfold enjoyed their best spell as they attacked with purpose, but poor finishing prevented an equaliser.

They finally drew level just before the hour when Gareth Cottenden tapped in from close range.

With the game becoming end to end, Dunstable retook the lead when Craig Henney finished smartly on 69 minutes.

Stotfold upped their efforts as Duncan saved well on two occasions, while the Blues countered well and provided sufficient threats of their own to keep Stotfold at bay.
