Dunstable Town warmed up for their opening Calor Southern League Division One Central clash at home to Beaconsfield SYCOB at Creasey Park on Saturday by beating a second Premier Division team in a week on Saturday.

Having beaten Hitchin Town 4-0, they came from behind to triumph 2-1 over Bedford Town at the Eyrie.

After good pressure from the home side Bedford took the lead on 24 minutes when Jordan Davis converted a cross from Dominic Lawless.

Lee Roache responded when his shot hit a post and the Blues levelled on the half-hour when a great run and assist from the left by Chris Marsh enabled Matt Nolan to equalise.

Roache ought to have put the visitor ahead but shot wide after an error allowed him to be put through on goal.

The Eagles hit the bar at the start of the second, but Dunstable contested the game well and always looked dangerous on the break.
