Rovers are out after late show

TWO late goals saw Barton Rovers go out of the North Beds Charity Cup at the first round stage as they lost 4-3 at home to holders Biggleswade Town on Tuesday night.

Rovers fell behind to Brett Donnelly’s goal, before Alex O’Brien added the second.

Layne Eadie pulled one back for Rovers before the break and Lee Wilson levelled the scores on 65 minutes.

The prolific Bobby Dance made it 3-2, but O’Brien equalised on 88 minutes and Mitchell Cole grabbed a last-gasp winner.

Rovers were 4-3 winners at Daventry Town in their Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central clash on Saturday thanks to goals from Dance (2), Luke Knight and Ricky Case.

This weekend, they host AFC Hayes and travel to Chertsey Town on Tuesday night.
