Rovers trounce Langford in cup clash

Barton Rovers progressed to the second round of the North Beds Charity Cup with an easy 5-1 win over SSML Division One side Langford at Sharpenhoe Road on Tuesday night.

Connor Vincent scored a quickfire double inside the opening 10 minutes to send Barton on their way, while Mahmut Caglar added a brace.

Gareth Hunt pulled one back for Langford, but Jordan Davis made it 5-1 before half time.

Rovers made changes for the second half and experimented with personal and shape, but despite the majority of the play and possession couldn’t add to their scoreline.

This afternoon Rovers host Egham Town in the league.
