David Kolodynski finally doubled the visitors’ lead with the first of his brace on 71 minutes.

Nyasha Sagwete gave the hosts hope as he pulled a goal back with five minutes to go, but Kolodynski scored his second moments later and Mitchell Piggon netted at the death to seal victory.

Rugby took the lead when a good run down the right caught Rovers defender Liam Mcdevitt flat-footed and Lake-Gaskin met the well-flighted cross to put the visitors ahead.

Things went from bad to worse as Barton were reduced to 10 men following handbags between Andrews and Lewis McBride, with Andrews seeing red and McBride getting away scot free as the free-kick that was originally awarded Barton’s way was reversed.

And Valley debutant Piggon sealed a good victory for the visitors in the dying seconds with their fourth.
