Town ladies demolish Crystal Palace

Luton Town Ladies put in an excellent performance to beat Crystal Palace 4-0 in the South East Combination at the weekend.

Hatters took the lead on 10 minutes when Nicola Henman found Jess McKay and her first-time shot found the bottom corner.

Town were unlucky not to extend their lead when McKay’s corner was headed on to the post by Anne Folan.

The second half was again dominated by Luton and they extended their lead when Rachel Kosky slipped the ball to Rebecca Scott who lifted her shot over the keeper.

The Eagles rallied briefly and struck the underside of the bar, but it was Town’s day as Henman’s well weighted pass found Kosky and she sprinted clear to finish neatly.

Further strikes from Michelle Byrne, Scott and Henman drew excellent saves from the keeper before Scott finished off Byrne’s cross to complete the scoring.
