Vase misery for Blues

DUNSTABLE Town came nowhere near replicating last season’s FA Vase heroics as they were dumped out of the competition at their first hurdle with a second round defeat at Long Buckby on Saturday.

The hosts, second in the United Counties League Premier Division, with 14 wins from 14 games, were too strong for a Blues side, who had settled well early on, creating two good chances, only for weak finishing to let them down.
