VIDEO: AFC Dunstable push Grays close in FA Cup
BRAVE AFC Dunstable were knocked out of the FA Cup by Ryman Division One North side Grays Athletic at the preliminary round stage on Sunday.
A crowd of 200 turned up for the preliminary round tie to celebrate the re-opening of Creasey Park.
Grays, who were only recently plying their trade in the Blue Square Bet Premier, had to weather some initial pressure as Danny Ryan’s header was cleared off the line, but hit back to take the lead on seven minutes through Louis Dennis.
AFC drew level on 28 minutes when Terry Billy broke clear to slot home, but the hosts shot themselves in the foot when Hayden Wills was robbed of possession and Grays broke away to score through Junior Blake.
Billy had another opportunity before half time, but dallied and after the break it was 3-1 when Thomas Bradley powered home a header from a corner.

AFC pulled a goal back on 72 minutes when a sublime Jonathan Barnett free-kick found the top corner and his side looked for an equaliser to force a replay.
