Luton Town were knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the first round stage last night with a 2-0 home defeat by Championship outfit Ipswich Town.

David McGoldrick’s double was enough to down the hosts at Kenilworth Road, as he scored on 34 minutes and then added a second in stoppage time.

Town went close though, Elliot Lee firing over the bar moments before the interval, with Jordan Cook also hitting the side-netting after the break too.
