Wilson on the spot to earn Rovers a point

A SECOND-HALF penalty from skipper Lee Wilson saw Barton Rovers earn a point in their Evo-Stik Southern League Division Central clash at AFC Hayes on Saturday.

AFC went 1-0 up on the stroke of half time when Tommy Hull couldn’t clear, and Mat Wood tapped home from close range.

Barton upped their tempo in the second period and were rewarded when Liam McDevitt was upended in the box, and Wilson converted the spot-kick.

Rovers host Daventry this weekend and then travel to Leighton Town on Easter Monday, both kick off at 3pm.
